Discussion Panels-Celebrating Diversity Across Disciplines

Session 1: 10:00 am – 10:45 am
Session 2: 11:00 am – 11:45 am
Session 3: 1:45 pm – 2:30pm

The Discussion Panel Session will be covering one of three topics, Media Manipulation, Climate Change, and Minding the Gap. Each of these panels invites graduate students from an array of disciplines to discuss their position on the panel topics. The Discussion Panels also help to highlight the theme of this year’s GRC, which is Diversity Across Disciplines.

We encourage students to attend each of the panel sessions to learn about the interesting research that is being done by the graduate students of UMBC.

Lunch Session: 12:00 pm- 1: 30 pm

As we begin to wrap up the 2016-2017 school year, Dr. Jeffrey Halverson will help to celebrate the 50th anniversary of UMBC by delivering an engaging and dynamic keynote address during the lunch session. We encourage students to come and listen to Dr. Halverson share his thoughts of what Grit and Greatness truly means.
