About Sukkot

Sukkot is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the fall harvest while commemorating the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness. The holiday is a time for gratitude, joy, and community, especially in relation to food.

Food Donations

Want to help support the celebration? Donate sealed, nonperishable food items to one of the Retriever Essentials donation bins. 

• Donation Bin Locations: The Commons, Library, University Center, Admin, Center of Well-Being, and UMBC Police Station.

Kosher food is welcome!
