Description
Join Grad Student & Postdoc Development for Decoding the Culture: The Unwritten Rules of Academia on Thursday, October 8 from 3:30–5 PM in University Center 115 or online.
This session will help graduate students better understand the hidden expectations of academic life, including faculty communication, advisor relationships, departmental norms, AI boundaries, and balancing priorities across different graduate student roles.
OGSL will also be hosting a pop-up at the event, so students will have the chance to meet OGSL staff, ask questions, and learn more about the office, our programs, and the ways we support graduate students throughout their UMBC experience.
Whether you are trying to better navigate academic culture or just want to connect with campus support, we hope to see you there.
