The Graduate Student Association (GSA) provides funding to support graduate students pursuing research and professional development opportunities.
GSA currently offers two student grants:
Professional Development Grant – Up to $900
The Professional Development Grant supports eligible professional development activities such as conferences, workshops, symposiums, training opportunities, internships, interviews, and other opportunities related to a student’s academic or professional growth.
Research Grants – Up to $1,000 Research Grant supports eligible expenses directly related to a student’s thesis or dissertation research, including research materials, data collection, participant incentives, specialized services, and other approved research expenses.
Not sure which grant you need?
Choose the Professional Development Grant if you are attending, presenting, or otherwise participating in a conference, workshop, training, internship, interview, or other professional development opportunity.
Choose the Research Grant if you are requesting support for expenses directly related to conducting your thesis or dissertation research.
Conference attendance or presentation expenses should be submitted under the Professional Development Grant, not the Research Grant.
