This exhibition was curated by Lindsey Loeper (Special Collections) in conjunction with UMBC's centennial celebration of the Harlem Renaissance during the 2025-2026 academic year. The Harlem Renaissance, spanning from the 1920s into the early 1930s, was a robust and dynamic artistic and cultural era in predominantly Black communities in the United States, exemplified by Harlem, NY.
