UMBC's Counseling Center, University Health Services and Student Life are partnering together to host UMBC's 1st ever Mental Health Summit. The Mental Health Summit will take place on Saturday, September 19th from 10am-2pm in The Commons Sports Zone (Mezzanine Level). This is a FREE event.

The Summit serves as a space to bring together multiple student groups and campus departments who are all working towards the same broad goal: to increase awareness of mental health, and care and support for our community. Groups that could fit in this description are (but not limited to):

- Peer Health Educators
- Active Minds
- NAMI
- SGA Health & Wellness Department
- Youth First (with Psychology Dept)
- Students for a Healthy Baltimore
- HAPP COM
Health Leads
- Resident Assistants (RA's)
- Commuter Assistants (CA's)
- & More!

The Summit will allow staff and faculty to bring students up to date about the mental health landscape at UMBC with current data and a history of the university's mental health initiatives. It will also create space for student groups to connect and network with each other, help each group understand each other's missions and priorities, and allow us to establish a collective vision for mental health efforts on campus.

To attend the Mental Health Summit on Sept. 19th, please fill out the registration form via the link below. Registration is free and a pizza lunch will be provided.

Please feel free to forward this email to other students who may have a strong interest in mental health initiatives on campus.

For questions or comments, please contact any of the organizers. Information is on the registration form.

Thank you and hope to see many of you there!
