Faculty Response System Town Hall
Informational session on the future of clicker usage at UMBC
Location
Engineering : 023
Date & Time
November 19, 2015, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
Description
In January of 2016, Turning Technologies has announced that TurningPoint 5, their current software, will be replaced with TurningPoint Cloud. TurningPoint Cloud offers students and instructors the opportunity to leverage the use of mobile devices and/or laptops in the classroom through use of their mobile application called ResponseWare, eliminating the need for students to purchase the clicker hardware from the bookstore.
In light of these changes, DoIT’s Instructional Technology team is conducting a comparative analysis of all currently available student response systems to determine the most appropriate solution for our campus. Please join us at this Town Hall meeting to discuss the most appropriate solution for our campus and see survey results.
Note: Lunch will be provided for registered participants. If you have specific dietary requests, please note them in the comments or contact Helena Dahlen at 410.455.3208 or dahlen@umbc.edu. To RSVP, please click "I Can Attend" no later than Tuesday, November 10.
