MD TESOL invites TESOL graduate students in Maryland to the Annual Graduate Student Interest Section Spring 2019 Mini-Conference at the UMBC English Language Institute. This year the keynote speaker will be Dr. Rashad, Graduate Program Director for the UMBC Department of Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESL). Participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops designed around new teacher preparation.
Topics will include "first steps" as a new ESOL teacher in the classroom, strategies for behavior management, and strategies for meeting social adjustment needs in a multicultural setting.
